Welcome to Mocha Moms
PHILADELPHIA CHAPTER (MMPC)
The city of Brotherly Love and
Sisterly Affection! MMPC Online is an informative site designed to connect stay-at-home mothers of color
in the Philadelphia area to the local chapter as well as the National Organization. The website
can be used as a resource for current members, prospective members or anyone else interested in our mission to provide a support
system for at-home mothers of color as well as related topics. We
are a diverse and dynamic group of mothers dedicated to the concept of at-home motherhood and the practice of supporting
mothers who are exercising this lifestyle.
Established in 2002, the Philadelphia Chapter was the first formed
in Pennsylvania and has spent the last five years developing our services to meet the needs of our members and enrich their
lives. This focus has caused us to grow. And as a result the demand for our services and resources has also grown.
Today many of our members have eliminated employment altogether, while
others work flex-time or have home-based businesses so they are more available for their family. Our common mission of mothering
provides a support system for this lifestyle. And today we service members throughout
the greater Philadelphia region.
MMPC would
like to thank you for your interest in our our organization and this chapter. We invite you to enjoy our site and encourage
interested mothers to join our monthly Mothers Support Gathering the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each
month. We are now also offering monthly evening support meetings!!
