Better Bedding

You may have removed pesticides from your diet, but how about your bed? Organics is the solution! Conventional cotton uses enourmous amounts of  Pesticides & Herbicides- ick! Also known as CARCINOGENS (cancer causing agents). The conventional bedding we use is processed with formaldehyde to make it softer. However, sheets made free of harmful chemicals become softer as the More we wash them. Perhaps this addidives add to skin eczemas, excess dryness, allergies, asthmas etc........

According to the Pesticide Action Network, if all cotton were grown organically, global pesticide use would decrease by 10%, and insecticide use by nearly 25%. What better way to help health the soil and waterways of the earth!

Try these companies and producers of organic bedding products and more:

Coyunchi (www.coyuchiorganic.com)

A Natural Home (www.anaturalhome.com) They work with Ohio Amish families.

Where Did my Goodnight's Sleep Go????

As Super Mochas and Mommies, we all can relate to sleepless nights. The simple fact is STRESS can be a goodnight's sleep Killer!

Based on Ayuvedic principles there are several helpful hits to help you recapture the elusive restful, rejuvenating sleep that we need to function optimally.

  • Eat dinner early to allow ample time for food digestion
  • Make a 30 minute SelfCare before bedtime routine (clean your face, stretch, pray/meditate, have a cup decaf herbal tea and a calming read)
  • Turn off the television
  • Only use the bed for sleeping and loving
  • Excercise at least 3 hrs before bedtime
  • Try Kava Kava & or Valerian Root suppliments to help calm your bio-rythms on particularly hectic days.
  • Take a mid-day power nap ( 30min-1hr of complete mental shut down will invigorate you for the 2nd 1/2 of your day and prepare your body for full rest.) Close the office door, lay your car seat back in secured location or use that nursery rocking chair........
